THE chief constable of Dyfed-Powys Police will be retiring from the service this summer, it has been announced.
Simon Prince has led the constabulary for three years after joining from Gwent Police, and described it as "a force like no other".
The new chief constable will be chosen by the Dyfed-Powys commissioner - currently that post is held by Conservative Christopher Salmon, but the new commissioner will be chosen in May when the public go to the polls.
